DHL Express for Shopify

DHL Express is enabled by Shipdock support on request. Write to [email protected], and once it is switched on for your store, add your DHL Express API credentials and sender address in the courier settings.

Shipdock offers 16 DHL Express products: Express Domestic, Express Worldwide, Express Easy and Economy Select, plus the timed 9:00, 10:30 and 12:00 services, in EU and non-EU variants. You map each Shopify shipping rate to the service you want. Parcels are delivered to the recipient's address; labels for delivery to DHL pickup points are not created.

Yes. For DHL Express shipments from an EU sender to Great Britain, Switzerland and the USA, the app builds the customs declaration automatically from the order items when the label is created, and you can search HS codes. If something is missing, the app tells you what to fill in. DHL can generate the commercial invoice, or you upload your own PDF. EORI, VAT and other registration numbers are stored with the sender. Economy Select is not available to the USA.

No. DHL Express shipments cannot carry a cash on delivery amount in Shipdock. Use another courier for cash on delivery orders.

Yes. The connection has a sandbox mode, so you can create test shipments with DHL test credentials before you switch to production.

Yes, you ship on your own DHL Express account and rates, and Shipdock adds no surcharge per shipment. Creating labels through the courier API is part of the Full and Full Shopify Plus plans.

No. The DHL Express API has no cancellation, so deleting a shipment in Shipdock only removes the record in the app. Cancel the shipment directly with DHL.
